15 things you need to make your weekend getaway amazing

Updated: Jun 19, 2019

I’m not so sure how I feel about Fridays. On the one hand, I am happy for the weekend to start. On the other hand, it's like I’m literally dashing to get the car loaded.

And you have to time it right to miss traffic and arrive with enough time for a frosty drink.

And I admit it, I’ve spent many summer workdays focused on the weekend getaway.

It’s all about slowing down. Taking a break, because we all need a break. Relaxing and spending some lazy time together. And not worrying about wake-up calls, schedules, and other commitments.

Part of the fun is that you can forget about the rules and grab all your comfy favorites. But you still want to feel prepared for whatever the weekend throws your way.

Whether you’re heading to the beach or the country, it’s a matter of grabbing those go-to pieces and loading up the car. I like to think ahead at least a little bit. Or I end up sitting on the deck in the Catskills, wishing I'd grabbed my favorite rose gold Birkies.

How about you?

I have gathered a few cool finds for you. I hope that you’ll enjoy them.

I’m not shopping for any kiddos right now, but I can’t resist adding a few cute essentials.

Is anything on the list going with you next weekend?
